The Jewish Food and Cultural Festival is going virtual this year. The annual event, which was scheduled for April, but postponed due to the pandemic, will now take place online “in small bitesize pieces throughout the year” according to a news release from the Jewish Federation of Arkansas.

The first bite, so to speak, is Honey From the Heart, eight-ounce jars of kosher honey that will be delivered in time for Rosh Hashanah if ordered by Aug. 21. Each jar will be accompanied by a “personalized card reading ‘Shana Tova-Wishing you a Healthy and Happy New Year.’”

The honey is $16 per jar. Orders placed before July 22 include shipping. After July 22, a $5.50 shipping charge will be added. To order, visit

jewisharkansas.org/honey.

Sales from Honey From the Heart support ORT America, a nonprofit that “focuses on Tikkun Olam (repairing the world) by working to remove barriers youth and young adults face when trying to receive a high-quality education.”

Another bite to look forward to, a Traditional Honey Cake recipe accompanied with a virtual “bake along.”
