“Bill” Gifford, age 92, a resident of Prairie Grove, Ark, passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2020, at his home. He was born Jan. 22, 1928, in Westville, Okla., the son of Ebb and Alma (Martin) Gifford.
Bill was a member of the West Fork Volunteer Fire Department for many years, a member of the Mountain Gap Hunting Club, and retired from Tyson Foods after 23 years of service.
Bill was a member of the New Sulphur Freewill Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Lora Dean Gifford; brothers Ray, Cecil and Jesse Gifford; daughter Sandra Gifford; stepdaughter Deborah Langley; and stepson Gary Mullen.
Survivors include his wife, Gladys Gifford; daughters Brenda Dobbs of Farmington, Ark., and Betty Sisemore of Highfill, Ark.; stepson Darrell Mullen of Prairie Grove; stepdaughters Lora Brammer and Arlene Burkhart, both of Prairie Grove, and Nelda Cambron of Springfield, Miss.; grandchildren Lee Dobbs, R.D. Sisemore, and Travis Dobbs; great-grandchildren Travis Jr., Destiny and Dixon Dobbs; a host of stepgrandchildren and great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 4:30-8 p.m. at Luginbuel Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Friday, July 24, 2020, at Prairie Grove Cemetery pavilion. Burial will be in the Illinois Chapel Cemetery in Prairie Grove, Ark.
Memorials may be made to the West Fork Volunteer Fire Department.
