Wondering thoughts

-

As an older guy, I’ve been wondering about a lot of things that are going on in our country. So I thought I’d write some of them down: I wonder if the marchers and protesters cared about the innocent victims that lost their businesses and livelihoods as a result of their rampage and looting. I wonder what was their intent. I wonder if it was to improve race relations.

I am reminded of a memo that was circulated by one of my former bosses: It read, “The beatings will continue until morale improves.”

I wonder why Black Lives Matter only when it’s the lives of those they chose, but not the Black lives that are killed every week in urban American cities by other Blacks. I wonder what would happen if we did away with police. I wonder who would protect society, if at all. I wonder what would happen if there were no borders and everyone and everything was free to enter our country. I wonder what would happen if everything was owned by the government and individuals no longer had the right to own property, run their own businesses and create wealth and pursue happiness. I think I know what would happen: It would be the end of our country as we know it. Our children and grandchildren would have no future and I’m not just talking about white children, Black children or brown children. I’m talking about all children. Everyone would suffer!

That’s why it is so important that this November we re-elect President Donald Trump for four more years and that we return control of the Senate and House of Representatives to the Republican Party.
