WALNUT GROVE, Mo. — Nellie M. Parker,

75, of Walnut Grove, Mo., passed Aug. 9, 2020. She was the daughter of Leo and June (Bass) Savage, and was born July 8, 1945.

On March 19, 1963, Nellie and Rephael Parker were united in marriage and shared over 57 years together.

Nellie was a natural artist. There wasn’t a craft or art she couldn’t pick up and learn quickly. She particular­ly loved oil painting and taught many classes around the area, along with teaching her grandsons.

Nellie was also a musician, she enjoyed singing, playing the piano and organ, and she had a voice that could harmonize with her sisters’ beautifull­y. Nellie also enjoyed listening to gospel music, especially the Gaither’s. Nellie loved the Lord and she was a prayer warrior. She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Nellie is survived by her husband, Rephael Parker; son, Lee Parker and wife Donna; daughter, Glenda Glouse and husband Keith; grandsons, Jacob Glouse, Parker Glouse and wife Megan; great grandson, Hudson Glouse; siblings, Leola Cross, Sue Barnhart, Larry Savage, Jerry Savage, Chuck Savage; nieces, nephews, other family and many friends.

Nellie was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Judy Cate.

Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, 2020, at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, Walnut Grove, Mo. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, 2020, in Greene Lawn Cemetery, Walnut Grove, Mo.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made in Nellie’s name to American Diabetes Associatio­n and may be left at the funeral home or given through the funeral home website.
