BENTON COUNTY

Bella Vista Community Church, 75 E. Lancashire Blvd., continues to suspend non-ministry events and Kids Connect until further notice. Church ministries may meet during office hours by appointmen­t only through the church office. Call the office to set up your meeting time.

Join in for a day of prayer in step with “The Return,” a national and global day of prayer and repentance led by Franklin Graham and other national leaders, taking place in Washington, D.C. At 11 a.m. Sept. 26, BVCC’s chapel will be open.

The annual Christmas English Tea is canceled due to covid-19 concerns.

Bella Vista Lutheran Church, 1990 Forest Hills Blvd., hosts Sunday services at 8:30 a.m. (traditiona­l service) and at 10:45 a.m. (blended service). Sunday School for all ages and adult Bible classes are at 9:45 a.m. You can also see the service on the website.

The Lutheran Hour is broadcast every Sunday at 12:30 p.m. on radio station KURM-AM (790) and KURM-FM (100.3).

GriefShare is being offered on Thursdays at 3 p.m. in the chapel and will continue weekly until Nov. 12. This group is to provide help and encouragem­ent after the death of a spouse, child, family member or friend. Call Dorothy Jones at 366-1700 with any questions.

The Shepherd’s Food Pantry is open on Fridays from 10 a.m. until noon. All food handlers wear face masks and ask that visitors also wear a mask and practice social distancing.

First Presbyteri­an Church in Bentonvill­e, 901 N.E. J St., is holding services online Sundays at 10:15 a.m. on Facebook and YouTube.

The FPC Food Pantry is operating as a drive-through on Saturdays from 9 to 11 a.m. Bring something (utility bill, etc.) that shows that you are a resident of Benton County.

Highland Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Bella Vista, 1500 Forest Hills Blvd., will continue to present its services on its website or on YouTube (search “highland christian church bella vista ”). No decision to reopen the church has been made.

St. Bernard Catholic Church in Bella Vista, 1 St. Bernard Lane, will have the Care & Share trailer in the parking lot from the afternoon of Sept. 22 to the morning of Sept. 24 for donations of serviceabl­e clothing, furniture, etc.

Our Catholic weekend Mass is on Saturday at 5 p.m. and on Sunday at 9 a.m.

Unitarian Universali­sts of Benton County, 1400 W. Walnut, No. 113, Rogers, have canceled in-person services until further notice. Those who wish may attend services of The Unitarian Universali­st Church of Fayettevil­le (UUFF) via Zoom with a link found on uufay etteville.org. Twice a month UUBC Zoom services are also being planned.

Unity Church of the Ozarks, 2200 S.E. J St., Bentonvill­e, continues to meet at 10:30 a.m. Sundays on the church Facebook page. The service can also be viewed at a later time on Facebook.

Larry Owensby presents a short, timely subject with a meditation on Facebook at 7 p.m. daily.

Village Bible Church in Bella Vista, 1591 Forest Hills Blvd., hosts a live service at 10:15 a.m. Sundays. Pastor Mark Voll will be preaching. Seating arrangemen­ts have been readjusted for social distancing.

Word of Life Fellowship in Bentonvill­e, 808 S.W. 14th St., invites everyone to the annual Back To Church Sunday this Sunday. Service begins at 10 a.m., with lunch and activities afterwards outside.

WASHINGTON COUNTY First Presbyteri­an

Church in Springdale, 100 S. Gutensohn Road, is having in-person services on Sunday at 10:30 a.m. Safety protocols and procedures are in place. Anyone in a high-risk group, may have been exposed to the virus or who is uncomforta­ble meeting in person should continue to attend via live streamed services on YouTube and through a link on the church’s website.

At 9:30 a.m. on Sundays, weekly Zoom Disciplesh­ip Classes continue for adults and for the FPC Kids B.L.A.S.T. program. Both are available on the website and open to all. A Ladies Small Group Zoom Fellowship meets each Wednesday at 7 a.m., Monday Lectionary Bible Study with Hank Breshears is at 10 a.m. via Zoom. Pastor Curry will be leading a four-week Fall Book Study via Zoom on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. Classes will be on Sept. 23 and 30 and Oct. 14 and 21. The book studied will be “Everybody Always” by Bob Goff.

The church holds Evening Vespers services at 6 p.m. each Sunday through the end of September on the south lawn of the FPC Campus.
