Trump creating reason to disregard outcome

-

President Trump has encouraged his supporters to vote by mail and then vote in person. When it was pointed out that would be voter fraud, he tried to spin the statement to have his people go to the poles to ensure their mail vote was counted. However mail or absentee ballots are often not counted until after the election or may only be counted that day. Additionally the whole purpose of encouraging mail-in voting this year is to cut down on the number of people at the poles and reduce the possible spread of covid. Once again, it appears the president is more concerned with retaining the presidency than with the health and safety of the American public.

Trump has repeatedly attacked the integrity of mail-in voting with no evidence the procedures for mail in voting are not safe, nor do they lead to widespread voter fraud. The reality is the only thing that could lead to voter fraud is the president planting in the minds of his supporters the idea for voting twice. It is the height of hypocrisy to contend he will only fail to be re-elected if there is voter fraud and then seek to encourage massive voter fraud on his behalf.

He has now taken it a step further by threatening to not honor the election if he loses and a claim that the Supreme Court will determine the outcome of the election. No wonder he and McConnell want to push through a replacement justice on the court who would be beholden to Trump.

Is this the United States or is it Belarus?
