HOW WE SEE IT
AUBURN VS. ARKANSAS
CLAY HENRY HAWGS ILLUSTRATED
The Hogs need to get some of their injured players back, but it’s clear that whomever Sam Pittman takes to Auburn will play hard. That — and solid defense — always gives you a chance. That has a nice ring to it. Arkansas, 27-24
MATT JONES WHOLE HOG SPORTS
Auburn’s offense is sputtering and Arkansas’ defense just played its best game in at least five years. Can Arkansas produce some points? The status of Rakeem Boyd and Treylon Burks loom large. If they are fully healthy, I like the Razorbacks’ chances. Arkansas 21-20
DUDLEY E. DAWSON HAWGS ILLUSTRATED
If Sam Pittman and his merry band of Razorbacks take down Gus Malzahn and Auburn this week, they might commission another statue. But improvement aside, it’s still a little early. Auburn, 27-10
SCOTTIE BORDELON WHOLE HOG SPORTS
Arkansas’ defense is for real, and Barry Odom just two games into his time at Arkansas has made unbelievable strides with his group. My concerns lie with the offense, which has been spotty to this point. The Razorbacks, facing former coach Chad Morris’ offense, play well enough defensively to win again on the road. But inconsistent play offensively dooms Arkansas. Auburn 21-13
BART POHLMAN THE HOG POD
You can make the argument that, through two games, Arkansas has been more impressive than Auburn. The Hogs still have plenty of work to do on offense, and so do the Tigers. This game comes down to the defenses, and Auburn has a few more “dudes” than the Razorbacks. Arkansas puts up another fight, but it isn’t enough. Auburn, 17-10
TYE RICHARDSON THE MORNING RUSH
It’s safe to say that Barry Odom has earned his paycheck in two games. His D shows up again this week, too, but the valiant effort isn’t enough. Auburn, 27-17
TOMMY CRAFT THE MORNING RUSH
Defense more than gives the Hogs a chance against a struggling Auburn offense. Hopefully, the Hogs find their stride on offense and the end zone, too. Auburn, 31-27
SETH CAMPBELL WHOLE HOG SPORTS
It’s tempting to pick the Hogs against former head coach Chad Morris, but with Malzahn’s seat getting toasty, the Tigers squeak out a victory. Auburn, 28-21.
