FAYETTEVIL­LE — Clarence Herbert Logue,

90, went to meet his Savior on Saturday, Oct. 10, with his family in the Lawton, Okla., home of his daughter. Born Nov. 20, 1929, in Fayettevil­le, in Washington County Ark., he was the son of Herbert Logue and Rachel Ann (Peters) Logue.

Cl a rence married his wife of 64 years, Bet - ty Jo Bruce, in Fayettevil­le in 1956. He served his country through service in the Army including a deployment to Korea during the Korean War.

He retired from Ozarks Electric Cooperativ­e in 1992 after receiving his 25-year watch and his 35-year certificat­e. He served as the church secretary of First Assembly of God in Fayettevil­le, Ark., for over 40 years. He attended First Assembly of God in Lawton, Okla., for the past year.

He is survived by wife Betty Logue; daughter and son-in-law Vickie and Clint Bryan of Lawton, Okla.; granddaugh­ter and husband Elizabeth and Brandon Perkins of Lawton, Okla.; grandson Stephen Bryan of Lawton, Okla.; great- grandchild­ren Sadie Perkins and Logan Perkins of Lawton, Okla.; sister Ruby Sullivan of Springdale, Ark.; and brother Paul Logue of Springdale Ark.

Pappy, as he was known to grandchild­ren and great- grandchild­ren, was heard many times telling stories of playing basketball and of throwing a pretty good curve in baseball for Elkins High School. He enjoyed growing a garden and mowing his own lawn until he was 88 years old as he was oft heard to say.

He enjoyed mall-walking with his wife throughout his retirement. He could be seen almost daily exercise-walking about sunset with his family on the sidewalks of Cameron University as a 90-year-old.
