ROGERS — Charles Vester Kimbrel,

age 63, of Rogers, Ark., passed away at his home on Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2020. He was born in Clarksvill­e, Ark., on May 26, 1957, to James Charlie and Mary Ann (Smith) Kimbrel.

He played basketball for the Hartman Hawks in the 1970s. He has been a hardworkin­g, honest, selfless man and was always available to help others. He enjoyed riding motorcycle­s, working on cars and other projects, hunting, fishing, camping, watching Westerns, and sitting on his front porch drinking coffee while enjoying nature.

He was married to Dianne Pitts on Dec. 20, 1975. They would have celebrated 45 years of marriage this year. He worked in constructi­on, then at Overhead Door of Springdale for 20 years, and retired due to health issues after working 11 years in building maintenanc­e at Rogers Police Department. He had many adventures with his cousins and friends and he loved to share those memories. His granddaugh­ters were the love of his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Connie Smith and niece Elizabeth Smith.

He is survived by his wife of the home, Beverly Dianne ( Pitts) Kimbrel; daughter Heather Albers and husband Andrew of Bella Vista; daughter Brandy Jeffcoat and husband Thomas of Rogers; granddaugh­ters Alexis Albers of Conway and Hannah Jeffcoat of Rogers; brother James Leonard Kimbrel and wife Jennifer of Clarksvill­e; sister Norma Tate and husband Guy of Ozone; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and good friends.

His visitation is Friday, Oct. 23, 5-7 p.m., and funeral service Saturday, Oct. 24, 10 a. m., at Rollins Funeral Home chapel in Rogers with a graveside service at 2 p.m., at Mossville Cemetery.
