FAYETTEVILLE — Patricia Carol Morgan,

-

fondly known as Granny Pat, died peacefully surrounded by loved ones Nov. 25, 2020, in Fayetteville, Ark. She was born March 17,

1936, and was named after the holiday she shared with her birthday, St. Patrick’s Day. Patricia was 84, at the time of her passing.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Tom Morgan.

She is survived by her children Thomas Morgan, Kathy Boone, Scott (Diane) Morgan and Jan (Robert) O’Connell; grandchildren Zach (Sarah) Morgan, Aaron Morgan, Anna Gill, Grant Morgan, James (Christina) Morgan, Keith (Lauren) Morgan, Sam (Megan) Morgan, Trish O’Connell and Sean O’Connell; bonus grandchildren Keelie (Chuck) Tullis, Kimberly Shaw, Avery Parker; and bonus great-grandchildren Macie and Madden Tullis, Fischer and Turner Shaw. Pat is also survived by her beloved black lab and companion of 10 years, Bella.

Pat’s greatest joy was her family and she was a dedicated homemaker. In fact, she never fully retired from the successful career she established in this role! She never missed a day of work, and went to every ball game, band concert, and family event.

Pat taught her family many things over the years. One of the most important was the love of family and family tradition. One of Pat’s favorite traditions was making cookies for the Christmas holiday. Pat was a master cookie maker. Under her tutelage, Pat, her daughters and granddaughters’ could turn out 15 dozen cookies in a single day. She enjoyed watching her family eat those cookies during their Christmas Eve family celebration. Pat was always thinking of her family and it was not unusual for her children to come home to and find she had stopped by their house and left a coffee cake or plate of cookies. Pat loved her family and her family loved her dearly.

Pat loved the outdoors and spent hours tending to her vast vegetable garden and literally hundreds of flowers, trees and shrubs that she nursed and tended to around her home. Pat never liked anything to go to waste and gifted or traded vegetables or plants with family and friends. She had a little something for everyone. Pat enjoyed feeding her birds, but not those “darn squirrels!”

Pat was a member of the former Wiggins Memorial United Methodist Church where she served her community for many years assisting with distribution of commodities and taking those who were unable to drive to church. She also volunteered to maintain her church’s flower gardens.

“Pat’s People” would like to send a special and heartfelt thank you to the staff at Springhouse Village in Fayetteville. These special people loved and cared for Pat and her dog Bella every day when covid prevented her family from being with her. For this, “Pat’s People” will always be grateful.

A private memorial will be held for immediate family. Pat’s family asks that in lieu of flowers, consideration be given to making a donation to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Broyles Foundation. Cards and condolences may be mailed to Pat’s family at, 2 Parker Bend, Prairie Grove, Ark., 72753. Cremation is under the direction of Moore’s Chapel.
