FAYETTEVILLE Francis Junior McConnell,
— age 80, of Fayetteville, Ark., passed from this life Saturday, Dec. 12, 2020. He was born Sept. 18, 1940, in Japton, Ark., a son of the late Omer Jesse McConnell and Ruby Jewel Williams McConnell.
Francis (Mac) was retired from Campbell Soup Company with over 30 years of service and was the widow of Carol Janette McConnell. Also preceding him in death was son Francis Jeffery McConnell; brothers Jesse Fay McConnell and Raymond Ray McConnell; sister Helen Joyce Smith; and grandchildren Angelica Belle McConnell and Christina Jewel McConnell.
Survivors are daughter Tini Lynette Sullins and spouse Gary; grandchildren Alexander Jeffery Akin and spouse Donna, Savannah Morgan Bates and spouse Max, Victoria Elizabeth Dunn and spouse Dylan and Mackenzi Faith Akin; and great-grandchildren Jeffery Logan Walls, Camden Gage Bates, Stoney Blake Akin and Remi Lynn Bates.
Mac coached youth sports and was an avid fisherman and striper fishing guide on his beloved Beaver Lake. One of his greatest joys was taking family and friends fishing anywhere he could find water. Mac was a member of the Enterprise Baptist Church in Gary, Texas.
Funeral service is 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 19, at Nelson Berna Funeral Home. Visitation is from 10:30 a.m. until service time Saturday at Nelson Berna. Burial is in Elm Springs Cemetery.
