BENTONVILL­E — Drew Charles Messmann,

51, of Bentonvill­e, Ark. passed away Jan. 1, 2021, in his Bentonvill­e, Ark. home. He was born Jan. 24, 1969, in Whittier, Calif., to Dale and Judith Messmann.

Drew had lived in Northwest Arkansas since September 2019 after moving from his longtime home in Fallbrook, Calif. He was a 1987 graduate of Fallbrook Union High School, where he was the Section Leader for the school’s marching, concert and jazz band. After graduating, Drew went on to compete with an elite Drum and Bugle Corps. Drew’s passions were his cherished rescue dogs and many artistic interests. Those included crafting, woodworkin­g, vintage furniture renewal but it was performing and directing where Drew’s creative soul found immense joy. He was a member of the San Diego Men’s Chorus, acted and directed in production­s throughout San Diego and Riverside. This passion continued for the remainder of his life and where he built numerous lifelong friendship­s.

After moving to Northwest Arkansas in 2019, Drew became a valued and much loved associate at the Rogers Home Depot. He was a loving, gifted, talented man with a quick wit and a sharp and wickedly funny sense of humor and will be greatly missed.

Survivors include his father and stepmother, Dale and Sharron Messmann of Rockville, Md.; his aunt, Sharlene Koska; and cousin, Jilene Leone of Vancouver, Wash.

Drew was preceded in death by his mother, Judith Messmann of Fallbrook, Calif.
