SPRINGDALE — Gerald D. Frisby,

-

86, of Springdale left this world for his home in heaven on Jan. 3, 2021. He was born Tuesday, Feb. 20, 1934, at Wharton Creek to George and Flora Spencer Frisby.

Gerald married Hazle Louise Pharris; and together they were parents to two children. After working for many years, Gerald retired from driving a dump truck and school bus. He cherished all of his grandkids and great-grandkids, and when he wasn’t spending time with his family, he loved being outdoors, hunting and fishing - often with Hazle. Gerald loved his church family dearly and found happiness helping in the church whenever he could. He will be greatly missed by all.

Gerald was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Hazle; parents; brothers J.B. Frisby and Norman Frisby; and sisters Faye Weathers and Maxine Officer.

He is survived by son Herman Frisby of Fayettevil­le; daughter and son-in-law Terry and Carroll Douthit of Rogers; five grandchild­ren; nine great-grandchild­ren; and a host of friends and family.

The family will receive friends 9-10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 8, 2021, at Brashears Funeral Home Due to covid-19, please practice social distancing and masks are required. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. with Clark Snow officiatin­g. Pallbearer­s will be Herman Frisby, Ben Stuckey, Michael Douthit, Eric Douthit, Hayden Douthit and Carroll Douthit. Interment will immediatel­y follow services at Wharton Creek Cemetery, Huntsville. Services are entrusted to Brashears Funeral Home and Crematory of Huntsville.
