Remmel Reece Taylor,
95, of Lowell, Ark., passed away at his home Tuesday, March 2, 2021. Remmel was born Sept. 1, 1925, in Wayton, Ark. He was the son of Sherman Taylor and Martha Snow Taylor.
He was the widower of Elewee Iva Taylor, who preceded him in death on Aug. 13, 2018.
Remmel worked as a logger cutting logs and as a forklift operator for the Union Carbide Company, currently Glad. He attended the First Freewill Baptist Church in Lowell. Remmel enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and wood working along with spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by sons Eddie and wife Phyllis Taylor of Lowell and Michael and wife Andria of Deer, Ark.; daughter Carla Pendergraft of Elm Springs, Ark.; grandchildren Shawn Dixon, Timmy Taylor, Shane Taylor, Steven Taylor, Wesley Taylor, Angie Randolph, Zabrina Randolph, Jimmy Lee Taylor, Caleb Taylor, Kenny Pendergraft and Shea Pendergraft; along with many great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, son Jimmy Taylor, five brothers and two sisters.
Visitation will be held at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home in Springdale on Sunday, March 7, 2021, from 4 to 6 p.m. Services will be held at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Chapel on Monday, March 8, 2021, at 2 p.m. Burial will follow at the Elm Springs Cemetery with military honors.
