SPRINGDALE — Emmelee “Emme” Karis Lopez,

18, of Springdale passed away Friday, March 5, 2021. Emme was born Feb. 5, 2003, in Fayettevil­le, Ark. She was the daughter of John Lopez and Lanette Crater Lopez and sister to Solomon Lopez.

Emme was a senior at HarBer High School in Springdale, who enjoyed music of all kinds, singing at the top of her voice, road trips, the beach, getting ice cream at the last minute before they closed and making her people feel loved.

Connection­s were important to Emme, she believed that your favorite color brought you happiness so she would wear your favorite color on your birthday. Her family is asking for everyone to wear blue fingernail polish to be connected with her.

She is survived by parents John and Lanette Lopez of Springdale; brother Solomon Lopez of Springdale; grandparen­ts Patricia Hendrix of Springdale, Janice Crater of Kansas, Bob and Marilee Lopez of California and Angel and Carol Guzman of Springdale; along with a host of other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandpa, Jim Crater and her paw paw, Kenny Robertson.

Visitation will be held at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home on Thursday, March 11, 2021, from noon to 1 p.m. Graveside services will be held at the Bluff Cemetery on Thursday, March 11, 2021, at 2 p.m. Arrangemen­ts are entrusted to the direction of the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home of Springdale.
