PREP BASEBALL

BENTONVILL­E 7, HARRISON 4

The Tigers scored four runs in the top of the sixth inning to rally past Harrison on Tuesday.

Bentonvill­e trailed 4-2 before taking the lead. Three walks and a Harrison error opened the gates the Tigers took advantage as Ty Riley slapped a tworun single to give Bentonvill­e the lead. The Tigers added an insurance run in the seventh on an RBI single by Peyton Gorman.

Five Bentonvill­e pitchers combined to allow 5 hits with 16 strikeouts. Riley struck out all six Goblins batters he faced over the final two frames.

Gorman was 2-for-3 with a triple and 2 RBIs for Bentonvill­e.

PRAIRIE GROVE 11, STILWELL, OKLA. 7

The Tigers overcame 7 errors to claim a home win Tuesday against Stilwell.

Ryder Orr doubled and drove in three runs for Prairie Grove and Casey Shipley drove in a pair for the Tigers. Tate Benoit added an RBI double.

Shiloh Christian 5, Springdale High 5 Sean Rhodes pitched a complete-game shutout with 14 strikeouts as the Saints down Class 6A Springdale High on Tuesday.

Rhodes allowed just two hits and walked two in a pitching gem.

FS NORTHSIDE 8, VAN BUREN 3

The Grizzlies put up 7 runs in the bottom of the fifth inning and claimed a big win Tuesday at home at Hunts Park.

Northside trailed 3-0 heading into the last of the fifth before the rally. The first six Grizzlies reached base in the inning on a combinatio­n of hits, walks and Van Buren errors before J Dilworth delivered a big two-run double to break the game open.

Derius Wise was 2-for-3 with a double and 2 RBIs for the Grizzlies. Jayden Dilworth added a double and 2 RBIs.

For Van Buren, Connor Johnson was 2-for-4.

Jett Frazier went 5 innings to earn the win for Northside, scattering 4 hits with 8 strikeouts. Jacob Null pitched the final two innings to nail down the save.

BENTONVILL­E WEST 11, GRAVETTE 0

Landon Grigg and Dakota Gaines combined to throw a three-hitter as West blanked Gravette in conference action.

Grigg pitched 4.2 innings and allowed three hits while picking up eight strikeouts. Gaines needed six pitches to get the final out.

River Baker had two hits and drove in two runs, while Hunter Gulli drove in three runs for the Wolverines (4-2).

MOUNTAIN HOME 4, ALMA 3 (9)

Jacob Czanstowsk­i singled with 2 outs in the bottom of the ninth inning to lift the Bombers to a nonconfere­nce win Tuesday.

The game was tied a 1-1 for eight innings as both Logan Taylor (Alma) and Logen Walker (Mountain Home) were dominating on the bump. Both pitchers went 8 innings. Taylor allowed 4 hits and struck out 3, and Walker allowed 3 hits and struck out 9.

Alma finally broke through in the top of the ninth with a pair of runs to take a 3-1 lead. Jacob Machen led off with a double and Derek Hatcher followed with an RBI double and scored on Taylor’s RBI single for a 3-1 lead.

But Mountain Home had an answer in the last of the ninth, scoring three runs for the win.

Hatcher, Machen and Kevin Mills all doubled for the Airedales.

Dillon Drewry doubled and tripled for Mountain Home and Isaac House added a double.

HARRISON 8, ROGERS HERITAGE 4

The Goblins struck late, scoring 5 runs in the top of the seventh inning to rally past Heritage.

The War Eagles carried a 4-3 lead into the to of the seventh.

Harrison belted 10 hits — all singles. Sloan Barrett was 2-for-4 and drove in two runs for the Goblins.

Brett Renfrow was 2-for-2 for the War Eagles and Cole Richardson added a double.

ROGERS HIGH 9, COLLINSVIL­LE 5

The Mounties rallied for 6 runs in the top of the sixth inning to top Collinsvil­le on Tuesday.

The big inning broke open what was a close game to that point with Rogers leading 3-2.

Noah Goodshield was 3-for-4 with a double and a pair of RBIs for the Mounties. Eli Marcotte also doubled and drove in two runs. J.T. Melson was 2-for-2 for the Mounties.

PREP SOFTBALL

FAYETTEVIL­LE 3, PEA RIDGE 1

Madelyn Smythe’s fourth-inning RBI single snapped a 1-1 tie and lifted Fayettevil­le to a nonconfere­nce win over Pea Ridge.

Smythe finished with two hits and drove in two runs, and she also picked up the win in the circle as she allowed one run on four hits over 5.2 innings. Karlee Stonesifer pitched the final 1.1 innings for the save.

Dalice White took a 1-0 lead in the first off Dalice White’s first-inning RBI double, but Fayettevil­le countered when Ashlyn Mayes singled in a run in the bottom half of the inning.

PARIS 12, WALDRON 6

Jayden Wells had three of Paris’ 19 hits, including a home run, and drove in five runs as the Lady Eagles outscored Waldron in nonconfere­nce action.

Kasse Appleton finished a home run short of the cycle and drove in four runs for Paris, which led 5-0 after three innings. Jadyn Hart, Karysn Tencleve and Rachel O’Neal also had three hits apiece, with Hart having a pair of doubles and scoring three runs.

Saige Mahar had three hits and drove in a run for Waldron.

FARMINGTON 14, FAYETTEVIL­LE 3

A 7-run second inning was more than enough as the Lady Cardinals run-ruled Fayettevil­le on Monday.

Farmington bashed four home runs and four doubles in a power display. Remington Adams and Carson Griggs had 3 hits each with Adams belting a homer and Griggs a double and a homer. Kennedy Griggs added a pair of doubles, and Grace Boatwright and Shayley Treat also homered for Farmington. Allie Bowerman was 2-for-3 with a double for Fayettevil­le.

In the circle, Kennedy and Carson Griggs combined to limit Fayettevil­le to 4 hits with 10 combined strikeouts.

FS NORTHSIDE 27, SPRINGDALE 9

There was no shortage of offense on Tuesday as Northside belted 20 hits and scored double-digit runs in two innings.

For the Lady Grizzlies, Tori Sumbler blasted a pair of triples to pace the Northside attack. Madison Blaylock was 3-for-5 with all three doubles and drove in 5 runs, and Bailey Brinkley homered and drove in 4 runs. Anna Hale was 2-for-4 with a double and 3 RBIs.

For Springdale, Lauren Christy was 3-for-3 with a double and Josephina Rodriguez and Kynzee Loots each drove in 2 runs.

FARMINGTON 5, FS SOUTHSIDE 2

Carson Griggs was dominant in the circle, allowing just 3 hits with 12 strikeouts to lead the Lady Cardinals on Tuesday.

Griggs didn’t just shine in the circle, she was also a force at the dish, belting a pair of doubles and Kennedy Griggs was just as impressive, going 2-for-3 with a pair of RBIs for the Lady Cardinals.

Hana Dingman crushed a two-run dinger for the Lady Mavs to account for both Southside runs.

PRAIRIE GROVE 8, ROGERS HERITAGE 6

The Lady Tigers had to hang on late to secure a narrow win on Tuesday.

Prairie Grove carried an 8-3 lead into the last of the seventh before the Lady War Eagles struck for 3 runs.

Elizabeth Stoufer was a force at the plate for the Lady Tigers, going 3-for4 with a double and triple. Rhiannon Umfleet was 2-for-4 with 3 RBIs, and Makinsey Parnell was 2-for-4 with 2 RBIs for Prairie Grove.

Josephine Patten was 2-for-4 with a home run and 4 RBIs for the Lady War Eagles. Maddie Pollock was 3-for-4 with a pair of RBIs and Paige Morrall was 2-for-3.
