BENTONVILL­E WEST 2, BRYANT 1

Held scoreless for five innings, the Lady Wolverines finally broke through in the top of the sixth, scoring a pair of runs to claim a tight nonconfere­nce win Friday. With one out, Sarah Cooper singled to start the sixth inning rally. Ryen Rassi walked to put two runners on and Laynee Tapp crushed a two-run double to plate Cooper and Rassi. That was all the offense West pitcher Elise Sokolsky needed. She stymied Bryant over the final two innings to nail down the win, capping a complete-game three-hitter that included 11 strikeouts. Cooper was 2-for-3 for the Lady Wolverines and Caroline Wilhelm was also 2-for-3. Bryant’s Chrissy Metford was also solid in the circle, scattering 6 hits with 5 strikeouts. West (3-0) will host Gravette on Monday before opening 6A-West Conference action at Fayettevil­le on Tuesday.

ROGERS HIGH 10, BERRYVILLE 0

Madison Heinle hurled a no-hitter over 4 innings and struck out all 12 batters she faced as the Lady Mounties rolled to a run-rule win Friday. Heinle needed just 51 pitches before retiring for the day. Ella Beeman went the final inning for Rogers and struck out three. Heinle also dominated at the dish, going 2-for-2 with a triple and 2 RBIs. Jenna Williams was 2-for-3 with a double and 2 RBIs and Emma Kate Jackson blasted a solo homer for Rogers (4-0).

CHARLESTON 12, LAVACA 0

Rylee Ross allowed just one hit over 4 innings in a shutout win Thursday. Charleston blasted 13 hits with doubles by Deci Young, Jordyn Sims, Ross, Addison Newhart, Maddy Flynn and Kyndall Haney. Ross and Flynn each drove in 3 runs for the Lady Tigers.

BOONEVILLE 2, PARIS 1

The Lady Bearcats claimed a narrow win Friday, making the most of their two hits. Layla Byrum drove in a run for Booneville and Sarah Ulmer had the other hit. Jayden Hart had both hits for Paris including a double.

FS SOUTHSIDE 1, ALMA 0

A run in the fourth inning was all Lady Mavs’ pitcher Meliah Hunter needed in a shutout win Friday. Hunter allowed just 4 hits and struck out 7 to earn the win in the circle. Reese Robinson, Madi Conklin and Hunter had hits for Southside.
