87, of Huntsville, died Friday, March 12, 2021, at Meadowview Healthcare and Rehab, Huntsville. She was born Saturday, Jan. 20, 1934, at Forum to Marshall Vance and Mary Emily Axtell Walden.

Mary married Billie Eugene Ditmore on April 4, 1989, at Withrow Springs, and was mother to four children. She was retired from the production line of Danaher Tool Group, and was a member of Huntsville Free Will Baptist Church. Mary loved life, and was known for being blunt, a little flirtatiou­s, wearing her red lipstick, and having a great sense of humor. She was a great cook, and enjoyed fishing and RV-ing.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Billie; three children, Twila Phillips, Connie Thompson and Milton Thompson.

She is survived by her three sons, Jerry Vance Thompson of Huntsville, Jeffrey Walden of Huntsville, and Anthony Cameron of Springdale; 13 grandchild­ren; and many great-grandchild­ren and great-great-grandchild­ren.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Monday, March 15, 2021, at Brashears Funeral Home, with Roy Haffelder officiatin­g. Due to covid-19, please practice social distancing, and masks are required. Pallbearer­s will be Preston Cameron, Wilson Cameron, Olen Thompson, Corey Whelchel, Clayton Vanderpool, Derrick Walden, Jared Walden and Anthony Cameron. Interment will immediatel­y follow services at Marshall Cemetery.

Services are entrusted to Brashears Funeral Home and Crematory of Huntsville.
