SPRINGDALE — Martha Ann Walker,
age 67, of Springdale went to be with Jesus on Sunday, March 7, 2021.
She was a wife, mother, Mimi, and lifelong educator who loved her family, friends, staff, and students. She lived her life, even more so over the last four and a half years, with her eyes fixed on Jesus and His promises. She always wanted her faith to be bigger than her fears and served as a vessel to draw others near to the Lord.
Martha was preceded in death by her father, Lee Eugene Taylor, of Russellville.
She is survived by her husband, Danny Walker, of the home; her daughters, Erin Thompson (Trent), and Jennifer Schuhknecht (Will), both of Springdale; her mother, Edjuana Taylor, of Russellville; her grandchildren, Hayes and Lucy Thompson, and Anne Henley, Reid, Shepherd, and John Walker Schuhknecht; her sister, Karen Moore (Richard) of Russellville; and brother, David Taylor (Ramona) of Kansas City; and too many friends to count.
A celebration of life will be held at Fellowship Bible Church of Northwest Arkansas in Rogers on Wednesday, March 10, 2021, at 4 p.m. Face masks will be required, and seating will be arranged for proper social distance.
Memorial contributions to honor Martha’s life may be made to the Bayyari Elementary School Library in Springdale or to Goodness Village, 11610 Pleasant Ridge Road, Suite 103-174, Little Rock, Ark. 72223. Martha enjoyed sharing her love of reading with her students and staff at every opportunity. Goodness Village provided housing and many thoughtful gestures to Martha and Danny during their visits to UAMS in Little Rock.
