BELLA VISTA — On Tuesday, March 9, 2021, Donald George Clark,
loving husband and father, passed away at age 85, after a short illness, surrounded by his family. Donald was born Aug. 17, 1935, in Buffalo, Kan., the son of Oscar and Dorothy (Cleland) Clark.
Don served in the Army, stationed in Germany from 1957-1959, being honorably discharged in 1959. On Jan. 21, 1961, he married Donna Marie Transue. They raised two daughters, Diane and Debby. He began his career at Armour Meat Company working in Kansas City, Mo., Sioux City, Iowa, Emporia, Kan., Garland, Texas, and retiring in Mason City, Iowa, as the plant manager for a newly-opened plant.
Don retired in Bella Vista, Ark., in 1991, and had a passion for golfing, fishing, and woodworking, building furniture items for his family. He was a member of Bella Vista Community Church. Don and Donna celebrated their 60th anniversary in January.
Donald was preceded in death by his father, Oscar; mother Dorothy; and brother Cleland.
He is survived by wife Donna; children Diane (Rodney) and Debby (Roger); and grandchildren Claire Blaukat, Katie Nicholson (Nathan); and great-grandson Tucker. He is also survived by twin brother David Clark (Ann) and sister Carolyn Tarver (Ed).
