PREP BASEBALL ROGERS HIGH 4, SPRINGDALE HIGH 2

Rogers turned a pair of bunts and a pair of Springdale errors into two ninth-inning runs as the Mounties edged Springdale and maintained its share of the 6A-West Conference lead.

Noah Goodshield doubled to start the ninth and scored when Josh Lawing dropped a bunt that resulted in a two-base error. Finley Bunch also dropped a bunt that turned into a twobase error and allowed Lawing to score.

Braxton Haywood pitched three innings and picked up the win in relief for Rogers. Kade Seldomridg­e and Ty Frakes each had two hits and drove in a run apiece for the Mounties.

SPRINGDALE HAR-BER 4, BENTONVILL­E WEST 1

Kade Ratcliff’s sixth-inning single snapped a 1-1 tie and led Har-Ber to a victory over West at the Wolverine Athletic Complex.

Brock Kimbel was hit by a pitch to start the inning, then back-to-back singles by Ross Felder and Cooper Dossett loaded the bases. Ratcliff’s hit then scored Kimble and Felder and gave the Wildcats (15-4, 9-2) a 3-1 lead.

Tyler Ridley made the lead stand as he finished with a three-hitter with two strikeouts. Har-Ber added a run in the seventh when Clark Jenkins singled and scored on a Kimbel single.

West (12-9, 3-6) scored its only run in the second when Cole Bonds singled and scored on a squeeze bunt by Miles Holmquist. HarBer responded in the third when Walker Immel and scored on an error.

ROGERS HERITAGE 9, FS SOUTHSIDE 3

Heritage broke a scoreless tie with seven runs in the fourth inning and went on to earn a 6A-West Conference win at home over Southside.

Aden Osburn capped the outburst with an RBI single as Heritage (13-8, 5-4) scored runs with two hit batters with the bases loaded, a bases-loaded walk and two sacrifices — a fly to center and a bunt toward first. The War Eagles managed just four hits but took advantage of five walks and six hit batters

Jeb Brown pitched a complete game and picked up the win despite allowing 10 hits as he also struck out eight batters. David Sorg had three hits for Southside (7-8, 2-7), while Kent Carlisle added two.

PREP SOFTBALL HARRISON 15, PRAIRIE GROVE 0

Ryleigh Keele threw a one-hitter over three innings and Abigail Fancler hit a home run as Harrison remained unbeaten in 4A-1 Conference play with a win at home over Pea Ridge.

Keele faced one batter above the minimum, allowing a leadoff hit in the second, and struck out two.

Harrison (13-6, 4-0) blew the game open in the second with nine runs, including a threerun home run by Fancler and a bases-clearing double by Camryn Casey. The Lady Goblins added six more runs in the third to end the game.
