ROGERS — Eugenia (Jean) DeRose,

of Rogers, Ark., went to be with her Lord peacefully on April 14, 2021, at age 89. Eugenia was born June 29, 1931, in Chicago, Ill., to Joseph and Theresa Senski.

Jean loved to work with all kinds of arts and crafts and flower arrangemen­ts. She retired from Walmart after 16 years of service. She was an active member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Rogers where she was instrument­al in promoting the church’s perpetual adoration program. She was among the first to help establish the parish food pantry, and served as a home bound minister. Jean was also a regional director in the Third Order of the Lay Carmelites, as well as an active member of the American Legion.

She was preceded in death by husband Anthony George DeRose of Rogers, Ark.; son Anthony James DeRose (Karla) of Rockford, Ill.; parents Joseph and Theresa Senski of Chicago; sisters Isabel Bosek of Chicago and Irene Tumino of Bridgman, Mich.; and brother Leonard Senski of Chicago.

She is survived by sons Thomas (Carolyn) DeRose of Rogers, Ark., and Ted DeRose (Trish) of Harvard, Ill.; sister Tessie Kloch of Marshfield, Wis.; many grandchild­ren, great-grandchild­ren, nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian burial for Eugenia will be held Monday, April 19, at noon, with visitation at 11 a.m., at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Rogers, Ark., under the direction of Nelson-Berna Funeral Home Rogers.
