WINSLOW — Harold Wayne Brown of Winslow

-

passed away peacefully April 9, 2021, at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale, surrounded by his loving family. He was 72 years old. Harold was born Sept. 25, 1948, in Berryville, Ark., to Rena Brown-Bollinger and Robert Brown and was the oldest of nine children.

Howie was an avid napper, cookie connoisseur, devoted Razorback fan, and could be found on his riding lawn mower any given weekend. He worked hard for his family, and still managed to make it to his kids’ basketball games, church functions, and take evening strolls with his love.

He knew a little bit about everything, and if you listened closely, you’d take away a pearl of wisdom in every conversation. He was a man with a quiet strength, calm and level-headed in the most stressful of situations and agreeable in all the rest.

Howie was a member of the First Baptist Church in Winslow since 1992. He had a strong faith and was truly loved, admired, and respected by everyone who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Brown; brother Charles Brown; and sisters Shirley Fiveash, Carolyn Brown and Debby Brown.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Teresa Brown of the home; children Francis Stout, John Kelly, Rex Brown and Correna Berry; grandchildren Halona Stout, Israel Stout, Jax Brown and Georgia Brown; great-granddaughter Mila Stamps; mother Rena Bollinger; brothers Bobby Brown and Michael Brown; and sisters Dorthy Brown and Betty Brown.

A graveside service will be held at Parks Cemetery in Winslow on Saturday, April 24, 2021, at 2 p.m. To sign the online guest book please visit www.bernafuneralhomes.com .
