Mercy Hospital Northwest has made substantial progress toward its Opening Doors: Our Commitment Continues initiative launched in 2016. The “multi-year expansion to produce exponential, systemic change” has included completing planned improvements and the opening of the hospital’s new tower in 2019.
The hospital’s health care achievements are garnering national attention. According to a news release: “For the third consecutive year, Mercy Hospital Northwest Arkansas in Rogers has been named to the Fortune/IBM Watson Health 100 Top Hospitals list. Published in Fortune, the honor designates Mercy among the top performing teaching hospitals in the U.S.”
“Our status as the only hospital in the state to be designated a Top 100 hospital while simultaneously holding an A grade from the Leapfrog Group and five-star rating
from the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) … is quite a triplicate of achievements and speaks to the quality and safety of our care,” says Clark Ellison, vice president of Mercy Health Foundation Northwest Arkansas.
Next up for the foundation will be the return of its Catfish, Corndog and Cornhole fundraiser July 16 at the Mercy Hospital campus in Rogers. Amateur and competitive cornhole brackets for teams of two are available. Catfish and corndogs will be provided by The Catfish Hole.
The CF Outdoor Invitational Sept. 30-Oct. 2 at Spring Valley Rod and Gun Club in Gravette will feature fly-fishing and clay-shooting competitions.
On Dec. 4, the traditional O’ Night Divine Charity Ball will return at the John Q. Hammons Center in Rogers.
Participants in charity events choose whether or not to remove their masks to be photographed, and the NWADG respects those decisions. We are all doing our best to follow guidelines.
