age 81, of Delaney, Ark., passed away at his home on September 20, 2021, surrounded by his family. Jerry was born on September 13, 1940, in Nowata, Okla., to Joe Thomas Conn and Maude

Mildred Spurgeon. Jerry served his country from 1958-1979 as a Sergeant First Class Medic Specialist in the United States Army. He served one tour in Korea, two tours in Vietnam, and 13 years in West Germany, primarily at the 97th General Hospital in Frankfurt. During his time in service, he obtained numerous awards, including the Bronze Star Medal, Expert Field Medical Badge, five Good Conduct Medals, and Commendati­on Medals for his service in Vietnam. After retiring from 20 years of service, Jerry maintained a cattle farm and worked for R&P Electropla­ting.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 46 years, Marion Mueller Conn, originally from Burgdorf, Germany. Jerry and Marion have four daughters, Maureen Brown and husband, Brian, of Fayettevil­le, Ark., Marieka O’Dell and husband, Todd, of Bentonvill­e, Ark., Melanie Harrison of Bentonvill­e, Ark., and Mirja Williams and husband, Travis, of Delaney, Ark.; and one son, Michael Conn and wife, Alice, of New Hampshire. His grandchild­ren include Kolby Brown and wife, Reagan, of Elkins, Ark., Logun Brown of Fayettevil­le, Ark., Alesa Bailey of Delaney, Ark., Meeshka O’Dell of Bentonvill­e, Ark., Tryston Bailey of Delaney, Ark., Tevin O’Dell of Bentonvill­e, Ark., Emma Williams of Delaney, Ark., Trey O’Dell of Bentonvill­e, Ark., Knox Harrison of Bentonvill­e, Ark., and Ava Harrison of Bentonvill­e, Ark. Jerry is also survived by one sister, Janis Farr of Phoenix, Ariz., and has a loving nephew and three nieces in Arizona.

Visitation will be 10 a.m.12 p.m. Friday, September 24, 2021, at Moore’s Chapel in Fayettevil­le. Graveside service to follow at 1 p.m. at Combs Cemetery in Combs, Ark. Pallbearer­s include: Kolby Brown, Logun Brown, Tryston Bailey, Tevin O’Dell, Todd O’Dell, and Travis Williams.
