BENTONVILL­E — Vergene “Jeanne” “Chico” Ramona Munson,

age 72, of Bentonvill­e, died September 30, 2021, at her residence. She was born September 17, 1949 in Esthervill­e, Iowa, the daughter of Vergie Talledge Hempstead and Victor Hempstead.

Vergene’s life has impacted so many people. For those of us who were blessed to be touched by her understand that her existence and the imprint she left on our hearts created wonderful memories.

She enjoyed spending quality time with her family, especially time with her grandchild­ren. She loved to offering her support and wisdom in making people better. Her friends were family. She was self-employed for many years, with a restaurant and embroidery business. Our most favorite volunteer job was her years of being the Easter Bunny for our community. Most everyone has a picture with her in their keepsakes.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dale Munson; and her siblings, four brothers: Victor Jr. Hempstead, Virgil Hempstead, Vern Hempstead, Veder Hempstead; one sister: Verlene Stewart.

Vergene is survived by two sons: Joseph Munson, of Oklahoma, Brandon Munson and wife Brandi, of Cave Springs; two daughters: Kalene Griffith and her husband John, of Bentonvill­e, Kristene Munson, of Bentonvill­e; one brother: Velmer Hempstead, wife Norma of Washington; seven grandchild­ren: Bo Weber, Keegan Griffith, Keelah Griffith, Tobin Munson, Eli Munson, Remi Munson, and Jax Munson; Bonus daughters, Cherie Amaro and Lynn Dvork Christense­n; Bonus grandkids, Lori Amaro, Krista Amaro, Davin Amaro, Lynsi Dvorak, Travis Dvorak, and Kayla Hixon

A celebratio­n of Vergene’s life will be at 4 p.m. at Bentonvill­e Community Church, 220 NW A Street.
