SPRING DALE— Lou E. McClellan,

age 79, of Springdale, Ark., passed into the arms of her heavenly Father, September 26, 2021, due to Parkinson disease. She was born March 21, 1942, in Russellvil­le, Ark., to Charley and Gladys Davis. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, James L. Davis.

Lou was a 1961, graduate of Ola High School. She and her husband have been members for 25 years of First Baptist Church in Fayettevil­le. Lou and Bill enjoyed family get togethers and travel. They went on numerous road trips visiting over forty National Parks, many different state parks and other points of interest along the way. Lou had an outstandin­g personalit­y that made everyone who came to know her love and admire her gentle ways. She will be greatly missed for years to come.

Survivors are her husband of fifty-two plus years, Billy L. “Bill” McClellan; two sons, David L. (Laura) McClellan of Springdale and Samuel W. McClellan of Fayettevil­le; three grandchild­ren, Ellison McClellan of Springdale, Sophia McClellan and Liam McClellan both of Fayettevil­le; one sister, Charlene (True) Robinson of Casa, Ark.; several cousins; nieces; nephews, and numerous friends.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, October 1, at Nelson Berna Funeral Home in Fayettevil­le with Dr. Doug Falknor pastor of First Baptist Church officiatin­g. Graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Friday, October 1, at Fayettevil­le National Cemetery.
