97, of Pettigrew, passed away Tuesday, January 1 1 , 2022, at Countrysid­e Assisted Living, Huntsville. She was born Monday, November 24, 1924, at Huntsville, to James Alvin and Velma Sims Harrington. Jessie married Elmer Jordan on August 4, 1943, at Huntsville, and together they were parents to eight children. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. Jessie enjoyed doing yard work and gardening. She was kind and forgiving, dearly loved her friends and family, and well-known for her plentiful hugs.

Jessie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Elmer; two sons, Joe Jordan, and an infant son, Danny Jordan; one granddaugh­ter, Karen Means; three sisters, May Jameson, Irene Jones, Sarah Blackburn; five brothers, Garland Harrington, Henry Harrington, Hershel Harrington, Fred Harrington, and Eugene Harrington; one daughter- in- law, Carma Jordan; and two sons-in-laws, Dewey Spurlock and Bob Carlton. She is survived by three sons and two daughters- in- laws, Jimmy Jordan, Leon and Brenda Jordan, and Herb and Janice Jordan; three daughters and one son-in-law, Onelda Carlton, Lynette Spurlock, and Pat and James McChristia­n; one sister, Naomi George; one sister- in- law, Shelia Harrington; one brotherinl­aw, Earl Jordan; fifteen grandchild­ren, and thirty great- grandchild­ren, nine great- great- grandchild­ren, and lots of nieces, nephews, friends, and caregivers that she loved so very much.

The family will receive friends 5- 7 p. m., Monday, January 17, 2022, at Brashears Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 10 a. m., Tuesday, January 18, 2022, at Brashears Funeral Home with Lonnie Siler officiatin­g. Due to COVID-19, the family requests masks are worn for both services. Pallbearer­s will be Jimmy Stevens, Jamie McChristia­n, Travis Jordan, Scott Jordan, Shane Jordan, and Daren Spurlock. Honorary pallbearer­s will be Donnie Dingledine and Bo Knowles. Interment will immediatel­y follow services at Ogden Cemetery, Witter, Ark. Services are entrusted to Brashears Funeral Home and Crematory of Huntsville.
