SOCCER GIRLS BENTONVILL­E WEST 4, ROGERS 1

Kate Carter had two goals and an assist for Bentonvill­e West in its 4-1 win over Rogers.

Cierra Flynn and Tianna Jones also scored goals for the Lady Wolverines while Meghan Sembrot and Maddy Mayer added assists.

BOYS FAYETTEVIL­LE 8, FS SOUTHSIDE 1

Chrispe Mumbere scored three goals to lead Fayettevil­le past Southside.

Skyler Marley added two goals while Ian Morrison, Alex Clark, and Rasto Rimbo added a goal apiece.

BASEBALL FARMINGTON 15, HUNTSVILLE 14

Weston Sills’ single and a Huntsville error allowed Caden Elsik to race home from first base with the winning run as Farmington won the 4A-1 Conference regular-season title by outlasting the Eagles in a game Friday at Farmington.

The Cardinals (15-7-1, 7-1) will be the top seed in the 4A-1 Conference Tournament next week.

Elsik hit a one-out single in the bottom of the sixth inning and was still there when Sills hit a single to center field. The ball was then misplayed, which allowed Elsik to run home.

Trey Hill hit a three-run home run in the first inning to spark a 12-run explosion for Farmington, which added another run in the second for a 13-0 lead. Huntsville, however, scored five runs in the third and fourth innings, then Kolton Reynolds and Braden Carter each hit a two-run home run in the top of the fifth to give the Eagles a 14-13 lead.

Case Enderlin, however, hit a solo home run to tie the game at 14 in the bottom of the fifth.

Reynolds had three hits, including two home runs, for Huntsville, while Luke Eaton also had three hits and Tucker Bradley added a pair.

SHILOH CHRISTIAN 5, GRAVETTE 2

Caleb Anderson drove in a pair of runs while Luke Bowerman and Graham Jones drove in a run apiece to help Shiloh Christian earn a 4A-1 Conference win at home over Gravette.

The Saints scored a run in the first before pulling away with four runs in the fifth. Miles Nantze walked and later scored on a passed ball, then Anderson hit a two-run single and Bowerman added his RBI double.

Gravette didn’t score until the sixth when Rusty Hilger belted a two-run single.

Jonas Nantze pitched six innings and picked up the win for Shiloh, which will be the No. 3 seed in the upcoming 4A- 1 Conference Tournament.

LR CATHOLIC 9, FS NORTHSIDE 3

Little Rock Catholic erupted for six runs in the fifth inning and defeated Northside during 6A-Central Conference action Friday at Little Rock.

The Grizzlies (9-14) had a 2-1 lead in the fourth on Jayden Darnell’s two-run double before the Rockets took control in the fifth. Catholic added two more runs in the sixth before Northside, which was limited to just three hits, scored again in the seventh on Jett Frazier’s RBI single.

BENTONVILL­E WEST 13, BRANSON 5

West scored the last 10 runs after losing an early lead as the Wolverines defeated Branson in a game played Friday at the Wolverine Athletic Complex in Centerton.

Branson scored four runs in the top of the fourth for a 5-3 lead, but West answered with six runs in the bottom half of the inning. River Baker’s two-run double put the Wolverines ahead to stay, while Alex Downing and Josh Wacaser each drove in a run with a sacrifice fly and a fielder’s choice, respective­ly.

Downing added an RBI single in the fifth, and Hunter Guill’s two-run single extended West’s lead to 12-5 before Baker added a sacrifice fly in the sixth.

Ashton Yarbrough had a pair of triples and a double and scored four times to pace the Wolverines’ 11-hit attack, while Landon Grigg added a pair of hits.

OZARK, MO. 3, SPRINGDALE HAR-BER 0

Ozark held Har-Ber to just four hits during a nonconfere­nce game Friday on the Wildcats’ home field.

Ozark did all of its scoring in the third inning, then two pitchers went on to complete the shutout.

Caden Ross had three of Har-Ber’s four hits.

BENTONVILL­E 7, BRANSON 5

Keegan Bulza’s two-run single drove in the go-ahead runs as Bentonvill­e rallied to defeat Branson in a Saturday afternoon game at the Tiger Athletic Complex.

The Tigers trailed 5-2 before they rallied with five runs in the bottom of the fifth inning. Stephon Gryskiewic­z started the comeback with an RBI double, then Jackson Hutchens’ two-run single tied the score before Bulza broke the tie.

Hayden Nall, the third Bentonvill­e pitcher, threw two scoreless innings to secure the win and pick up the save. Ethan Arnold picked up the victory with two scoreless innings in relief.

Gryskiewic­z, Hutchens and Carter Nye each had two hits to lead the Tigers.

ROGERS 8, BRANSON 4

Ty Frakes hit a home run and a triple to drive in four runs as Rogers became the third Northwest Arkansas team to record a win this weekend over Branson.

Frakes hit his home run, a three-run shot, to highlight a five- run first inning for the Mounties, then hit his triple in the second and scored on Eli Marcotte’s double for a 6-0 Mounties lead. Frakes then drove in Rogers’ final run with a fourth-inning sacrifice fly.

Marcotte and Kade Seldomridg­e each had two hits for the Mounties. Gabe Salinas threw four innings and allowed just one run to pick up the win, while three relievers closed out the game.

SOFTBALL BENTONVILL­E 13, FRONTENAC, MO. 3

The Lady Tigers gave up 3 runs in the first, but nothing after that in a run-rule win Saturday at home.

Ryann Sanders and Trista Peterson each homered and drove in 2 runs to pace Bentonvill­e’s offense. Savannah Schenkel also had a big day at the plate, going 3-for-3 with a double. Kasey Wood and Alleyna Rushing also had 2 hits apiece.

Sanders earned the win in the circle, allowing 4 hits with 10 strikeouts.

ROGERS 5, FARMINGTON 2

Kadence Janney and Ava Johnson combined to allow 3 hits to lead the Lady Mounties to a nonconfere­nce win Friday.

Janney went 5 innings and struck out 6 t0 get the win, and Johnson fired 2 perfect innings to earn the save.

Makenzie Fithian was 3-for-4 with a double and 3 RBI for Rogers.

Grace Boatright blasted a 2-run double for the Lady Cardinals.

FS NORTHSIDE 5, FS SOUTHSIDE 1

The Lady Bears scored all the runs they needed in the first inning in a win against crosstown Southside on Saturday.

Eden Davis was 2-for-3 with a triple, double and 1 RBI. Addison Foster and Bailey Brinkley had 2 hits each for Northside.

Mallory Craig earned the complete-game win, allowing 3 hits with 3 strikeouts.

Reese Robinson doubled and drove in Southside’s only run.
