FAYETTEVIL­LE — On Sunday, April 24, 2022, Dwayne Lee Covey

passed away at home in Fayettevil­le, Ark ., of pancreatic cancer. He was 62 years old. Dwayne is survived by his wife, Cynthia Dillon Covey, of Fayettevil­le; his children, Dylan Covey and wife, Nichole, of Washburn, Mo., Drew Covey of Bella Vista, Ark., Jonathan Ratcliff and wife, Brittany, of Norco, Calif., Kathryn Parker and husband, Trent, of Fayettevil­le, Ark., Jason Ratcliff and wife, Kristan, of Houston, Texas, and Lt. Adam Ratcliff of Pensacola, Fla.; two grandchild­ren: Bailey Doland and Scott Parker; his parents, Norman and Va Linn Covey of Bentonvill­e, Ark.; sister, Bobbie Bolain and husband, David, of Bentonvill­e, Ark.; niece, Linsey Roberts and wife, Shannon McCaig; and nephews, Eli McCaig and Bronx Roberts-McCaig.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparen­ts, Mercedes and Burton Head; his paternal grandparen­ts, Roba and Vigil Covey; and his niece, Heather Roberts.

Dwayne was born on March 11, 1960 in Rogers, Ark.

He graduated from Rogers High School in 1978 and went on to attend The University of Texas at Tyler, where he graduated in 1987, with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administra­tion. Dwayne married Cynthia on August 3, 2015 in Destin, Fla. He enjoyed mountain biking, golf, and all things Razorbacks. Dwayne was an avid home improvemen­t buff and was always on the hunt for a project to enhance their hobby farm. He loved spending time with their six children and two grandchild­ren. Dwayne had a servant’s heart and devoted his time to helping his friends and family.

The family received guests on Thursday evening from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Home of Rogers. Funeral Services were held 10 a.m. on Friday, April 29, 2022 at the Christian Life Cathedral of Fayettevil­le, with interment to follow at Benton County Memorial Park of Rogers.
