BASEBALL FARMINGTON 13, SHILOH CHRISTIAN 3

Trey Hill belted a grand slam and Michael White added a three-run home run as Farmington won the 4A-1 Conference Tournament championsh­ip with a decisive victory Friday over Shiloh Christian at Harrison.

White belted his shot in the first inning to set the stage for the Cardinals (17-71), then Hill hit his grand slam during a five-run second as Farmington jumped out to an early 8-0 lead.

Hill finished with three hits and drove in a team-high five runs to pace the Cardinals’ offensive attack, while White added four RBI. Case Enderland also had three hits and scored four times, while Kyson Bridges added a solo home run.

Caleb Anderson drove in all three runs for Shiloh Christian.

Both teams return to action Thursday during the Class 4A North Region tournament at Morrilton. Shiloh Christian takes on Ozark at 12: 30 p. m., while Farmington plays Heber Springs at 3 p.m.

ELKINS 10, BERGMAN 6

Zanuel Martin belted a two-run home run in the first inning to give Elkins the early lead, and the Elks won its second straight 3A-1 Conference tournament title with a win over top-seeded Bergman at Bergman.

Joven Bell went 4-for-4 at the plate and Trace Keller drove in two runs for Elkins (18-7), which will be the league’s top seed for the Class 3A Region 1 tournament at Greenland and take on Hackett in a 3 p.m. game Thursday.

Brannon Bargsley pitched five innings and had five strikeouts for the Elks, while Bell pitched in relief and struck out three in two innings of work.

Bergman will be the No. 2 seed from the 3A-1 and will take on Booneville in a 12:30 p.m. game Thursday.

NORTH LITTLE ROCK 10, FS NORTHSIDE 2

North Little Rock erupted for seven runs in the first inning and went on to defeat Northside in a 6A-Central Conference game Friday at North Little Rock.

The Charging Wildcats added two more in the third for a 9-0 lead before Northside (9-16, 3-8), which was limited to just three hits, scored a run in the fourth when Jayden Dilworth doubled and scored on a single by Logan Lundquist. The Grizzlies’ other run came in the sixth when Dilworth hit another double and scored on Eli Calderera’s sacrifice fly.

The loss keeps Northside one game against of LR Central for sixth place in the 6A-Central standings with three games remaining.

ROGERS 10, OZARK, MO. 2

Rogers erupted for seven runs in the bottom of the fifth inning and pulled away from Ozark for a nonconfere­nce victory at Mountie Field.

The Mounties led 3-0 after four innings, but Ozark scored its runs in the top of the fifth before a number of Rogers players contribute­d to the outburst.

Josh Lawing drove in two runs with his single in the fifth, while Eli Marcotte, Cooper Addison and Noah Goodshield each drove in a run with a hit. Ty Frakes began the scoring with a bases-loaded walk, and Gabe Salinas had a sacrifice fly.

Marcotte finished with three hits and drove in two runs to pace Rogers’ 12-hit attack. Goodshield, Kade Seldomridg­e, JT Melson and Addison added a pair of hits apiece, while Salinas and Lawing had two RBIs each.

BENTONVILL­E WEST 14, VAN BUREN 13

Dakota Gaines’ two- run home run capped a five-run fifth inning for West as the Wolverines celebrated their 10 seniors with a wild win over Van Buren at the Wolverine Athletic Complex.

Josh Wacaser broke a 7-7 tie in the fifth when his double drove in Aaron Arnold, who drew a walk. JJ Viera followed another walk with a two-run single, then Gaines hit his home run to give West a 12-7 lead.

Van Buren pulled within 12-11 in the sixth on a pair of two-run home runs by Connor Brady and Jackson Rotert, but the Wolverines picked up RBI hits by Arnold and Drew Carter to make it a 14-11 game. Those runs were important because Isaac Nichols belted a two-run home run for Van Buren in the seventh.

Wacaser and Gaines each finished with two hits and four RBIs for West, while River Baker had a home run. Brady finished with three of Van Buren’s eight hits and was a triple short of the cycle.

BENTONVILL­E 12, ALMA 6

Stephon Gryskiewic­z broke a 5-5 tie with a two-run home run in the fourth inning and lifted Bentonvill­e to a nonconfere­nce victory at Alma.

The Tigers had tied the game with four runs in the third, then Gryskiewic­z hit his shot after Luke Crumpler had singled. Bentonvill­e then scored five more runs in the seventh, including three bases-loaded walks, to pull away.

Gryskiewic­z and Kieper Pate led the Tigers with two hits and three RBIs apiece, while Drew Wright also had two hits. Derek Hatcher and Lucas Hayes each had two hits and drove in a run for Alma.

ELKINS 8, LINCOLN 0

Trace Keller had three hits and drove in three runs as Elkins advanced to the 3A-1 Conference Tournament championsh­ip game with a semifinal win Friday over Lincoln.

Kayson Drummond belted a pair of home runs and Stone Dean added a home run for the Elks (17-7), who entered the tournament as the No. 2 seed.

Noah Terry threw a complete-game two-hitter and struck 10.

SOCCER GIRLS FAYETTEVIL­LE 6, SPRINGDALE 0

Fayettevil­le took advantage of a strong wind in the first half to score five of its six goals against Springdale.

Lauren Magree finished with three goals and an assist to lead Fayettevil­le (12-3-2, 8-2-2 6A-West). Caroline Bertalotto, Jayden Tyler, and Regan McIntosh also scored goals for Fayettevil­le, which continues league play at home against Rogers Heritage on Tuesday.

BENTONVILL­E WEST 3, ROGERS HERITAGE 2

Kate Carter, Tianna Jones, and Maddy Mayer each scored goals for West in its win over Heritage.

Carter added two assists and Jones one for the Lady Wolverines.

BENTONVILL­E 5, ROGERS 1

Kayla Hurley had two goals and an assist to lead Bentonvill­e to a 6A-West Conference win over Rogers.

Abbi Armstrong, Allison Fernstrom and Olivia Smith each added a goal for the Lady Tigers. Lauren Parker provided two assists, while Samantha Ayala added an assist.

SILOAM SPRINGS 6, RUSSELLVIL­LE 0

The Lady Panthers ( 15- 3, 12- 0 5A-West) clinched the 5A-West Conference title with a shutout win at Russellvil­le.

Jetta Broquard scored four goals to increase her total to the season to 27. Halle Herndandez and Ariella Vogus each had a goal, while Faith Ellis had three assists.

SOFTBALL LINCOLN 7, VALLEY SPRINGS 0

Brinkley Moreton fired a one-hitter to lead the Lady Wolves to the 3A-1 Conference district championsh­ip Saturday.

Moreton struck out 15 and walked just one batter for Lincoln (26-5).

The Lady Wolves pounded 14 hits with Moreton, Ryleigh Landrum, Amber Bryant, Lily Riherd, Addie Pershall all getting multiple hits. Bryant was 3-for-4 with 3 RBI.

The win earned Lincoln the No. 1 seed in this week’s Region 1 tournament at Greenland.
