FAYETTEVIL­LE — Kenny Dee Carpenter,

83, of Fayettevil­le, Ark., passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2022, in Fayettevil­le, Ark. He was born August 1, 1938, in Southgate, Calif., to Melvin Owen Carpenter and Marilyn Elizabeth Smith Carpenter. He had a love for all things sports. But especially enjoyed watching his nephews, Jason and Jeff Brizic play football for Army. He played basketball for Orange Coast College and graduated in 1968. He graduated from Long Beach State in 1975 with an accounting degree. He was an accountant for McDonald Douglas and retired from Orozco Machine in Long Beach, Calif. He never lost his love of accounting and continued to do tax returns yearly for family, friends, and clients.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin Owen Carpenter and Marilyn Elizabeth Smith. One sister, Lani Brizic. He is survived by his wife, Qiaoping, one son, John Carpenter and his wife Cristina of Fayettevil­le, Ark., one daughter, Debbie Tuttle and husband Larry of Fayettevil­le, Ark., four step-daughters, Coco Yin of Fayettevil­le, Ark., Annie Stepper and husband Chris of California, Josie Flores of Montana, Lisa Summers and husband Shad of Montana, one brother-inlaw, David Brizic of Newport Beach, Calif., thirteen grandchild­ren, Cameron Umbarger of Fayettevil­le, Ark., Tara Tuttle, Trenton Tuttle, Caroline and husband Garrett Greenway all of Fayettevil­le, Shelby Stepper, Christophe­r Stepper of California. Renee Gursky, Daniel Murphy, Nikolas Flores, Jaxson Phillips of Montana, Shadlynn Summers, Lana Summers, Gage Summers of Montana.

A graveside service will be held 2 p.m., Tuesday, May 10, at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Fayettevil­le with Rev. Greg Gibson officiatin­g.
