CHOTEAU, Okla. — Barbara Fisher,
age 84, passed from this life on Friday, June 17, 2022, at her home in Chouteau, Okla. She was born in Fayetteville, Ark., to Clarence Hannah and Myrtle Hannah.
She was a retired caregiver, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She took pride in volunteering for Meals On Wheels and Hospice. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed taking long walks and loved cheering on the Arkansas Razorbacks and Dallas Cowboys.
Barbara is preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Jeanette Beeks, her husband, J.D. Fisher, and her granddaughter, Alecia Graham.
She is survived by four daughters, Pat Higgins (Jim) of Fayetteville, Ark., Theresa Norris (John) of Chouteau, Okla., Harla Conklin (Brian) of Newcastle, Wyo., Jennifer Rolfe (Leon) of Springdale, Ark. Eleven grandchildren, Nathan (Amber) and Casey (Rachel) Higgins, Ashtin (Cory) Austin, Garrett and Kaitlyn Wardle, Wesley and Miles Rolfe, Jammie Fisher, Shawnna Moore, Shannon Marriott, Stephanie Stacy and Charles Graham (Trena). Ten great-grandchildren, Nathanial and Hattie Higgins, Astoria Short, Vivian and Meredith Higgins, Jaden and Braxton Graham and Brantley Casamayor, Layla and Emmitt Austin, one nephew, Gary Kilpatrick and two nieces, Connie Gayer and Pam McCool.
There will be a private celebration of life at a later date. The family requests, in lieu of flowers, please donate to Meals on Wheels, Hospice or a charity of your choice.
