FAYETTEVIL­LE — Judy Ann ( Hurt) Milstead

of Fayettevil­le, Ark., was born May 2, 1950, in Morris, Okla.,to Johnny and Hazel ( Barnett) Hurt. Judy passed away October 23, 2022 , surrounded by her loving family in Springdale, Ark., at the age of 72.

Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Paul Joseph Milstead; her two children, Paula Phillips and husband Mark of Nashville, Tenn., and PJ Milstead and wife Tylinda of Westville, Okla.; four grandchild­ren, Allyssa Tobitt and husband Wesley of Richmond, Va., Paul Joseph Milstead III and wife Breanna of Seymour, Mo., Emily Beecher of Pompano Beach, Fla., and Victoria Senne and husband James of Bentonvill­e, Ark.; five great- grandchild­ren, Annalise, Kaitlynn, Adalynn, Khloe, and Dexter; as well as a host of nieces and nephews; and a beloved church family.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Johnny and Hazel Hurt; her brother, Olen Hurt; and sister, Helen “Bubba” Johns.

Judy had a love of music and began playing the piano and organ at the age of 6. She became the full-time church organist at the age of 12. She married Paul on June 29, 1968, and they began their work for Christ, traveling the United States preaching at many churches until settling in Fayettevil­le, Ark., in 1978 to found and pastor First Apostolic Church. Judy loved her family and adored her husband, always at his side supporting him whether that was through his ministry, fishing or traveling. She loved her children and was enamored by her grandchild­ren and great-grandchild­ren who called her Nana.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, October 26, 2022, at Beard’s Chapel.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, October 27, 2022 at Beard’s Chapel. Interment will follow in the Farmington Cemetery. Condolence­s at www.beardsfune­ralchapel.com
