AMAZON MUSIC EXPANDS CATALOG

Amazon Music is going to offer a full catalog of music with more than 100 million songs for Prime members. The streaming service told The Associated Press that the huge library of songs — an increase from 2 million now — will be available to Prime subscribers in shuffle mode without advertisements at no additional cost. It will also include most top podcasts ad-free including Wondery’s catalog of premium shows along with series like “MrBallen Podcast: Strange, Dark & Mysterious Stories” and Keke Palmer’s new original podcast “Baby, this is Keke Palmer.”

RSV VACCINE DATA LIFTS HOPES

New research shows vaccinating pregnant women helped protect their newborns from the common but dangerous respiratory virus called RSV that fills hospitals with wheezing babies each fall. The preliminary results buoy hope that after decades of failure and frustration, vaccines against RSV may finally be getting close. Pfizer announced Tuesday that a large international study found vaccinating moms-to-be was nearly 82% effective at preventing severe cases of RSV in their babies’ most vulnerable first 90 days of life. At age 6 months, the vaccine still was proving 69% effective against serious illness — and there were no signs of safety problems in mothers or babies.

HYUNDAI RECALLS SUVS FOR FIRE RISK

Hyundai is telling the owners of more than 44,000 SUVs in the U.S. to park the vehicles outdoors because they can catch fire even if the engines are off. The automaker says certain 2018 Santa Fe Sport models should be parked away from other vehicles and structures until they are repaired as part of a recall. The SUVs have anti-lock brake computers that can malfunction and develop an electrical short. That can cause too much electricity in the computer, increasing the risk of a fire. They weren’t included in a February recall of more than 350,000 vehicles for the same problem.
