BOYS BERGMAN 77, WEST FORK 52

Bergman jumped out to an early 23-7 lead and rolled past West Fork in a battle of 3A-1 Conference teams for third place in the Duel at the Dome tournament Saturday at West Fork.

Bryson Bauer had 19 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists for the Panthers (13-3), who led 49-24 at halftime and 63-44 through three quarters. Walker Patton, who returned to the lineup after missing two games because of illness, added 18 points and Dylan Friend chipped in 16.

LEAD HILL 62, BLUE EYE, MO. 56

Lead Hill started slow but finished fast to defeat Blue Eye during the Omaha Border Classic.

The Tigers (5-11) bounced back from a 17-10 deficit to take a 29-27 halftime lead, then extended that to a 41-36 margin to end the third quarter.

Jayce Williams had 25 points to lead Lead Hill, which will play Kingston at 8 p.m. today in the Anstaff Green Forest Holiday Tournament. Quintin Sewell had a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds, while Haygan Dotson added 10 points and Mason Cain chipped in 7 points and 10 rebounds.

GIRLS FS NORTHSIDE 39, HAYS, KAN. 36

The Lady Bears captured the tournament championsh­ip in Kansas by beating Hays in a battle of elite teams Saturday night.

Northside (4-0) and Hays locked up in a defensive battle from start-to-finish. The game was tied at 10-10 after one quarter and the Lady Bears claimed an 18-15 halftime lead and never let go from there.

Erianna Gooden poured in a gamehigh 21 points for Northside including 8 in the fourth quarter. Karys Washington scored 15 for the Lady Bears.
