GIRLS GRAVETTE 65, LOCUST GROVE, OKLA. 40

Gravette jumped out to an early 25-13 lead and went on to win the Adair (Okla.) Tournament with a runaway win Saturday night over Locust Grove.

The Lady Lions had a 34-20 halftime lead, then blew the game open when they outscored Locust Grove 18-4 in the third quarter for a 52-24 cushion.

Alexa Parker and DeLacie Wishon had 15 points apiece for Gravette, followed by Brynn Romine with 11 and Brooke Handle with 10.

Gravette will host Rogers in a nonconfere­nce game Tuesday before they open 4A-1 Conference play Friday at Shiloh Christian.

NORFORK 55, HARRISON 39

Norfork outscored Harrison 15-5 in the fourth quarter and pulled away during Saturday’s game in Flippin.

Harrison (3-4) trailed 16-7 after one quarter but pulled within 27-19 at halftime and 40-34 after three quarters before Norfolk put the game away.

Brooklyn Mitchell had 20 points for the Lady Goblins.

SILOAM SPRINGS 51, HOLLAND HALL 37

Emily Keehn hit five three-pointers and scored 21 points to lead the Lady Panthers past the Dutch in the fifth-place game of the Jerry Oquin Invitation­al in Inola, Okla.

Cenzi Johnson added nine points for the Lady Panthers (5-5).

BOYS BENTONVILL­E 49, OZARK, MO. 44

Bentonvill­e controlled the first and third quarters, and that was enough to defeat Ozark during Saturday’s action in the Blue Springs (Mo.) Tournament.

The Tigers (5-5) grabbed a 14-8 first-quarter lead, only to have Ozark cut it to a 23-20 margin at halftime. Bentonvill­e, however, bounced back and extended its lead to 31-26 to close out the third quarter.

Ma’aiki Dauda led the Tigers with 15 points, followed by Elijah Wilhelm with 12 and Owen Dehrmann with 10. Jayvn Williams didn’t play Saturday after he suffered an injury during Bentonvill­e’s 41-24 victory over St. Louis University High.

Bentonvill­e returns to action Friday at Conway, its last nonconfere­nce game before opening 6A-West Conference play.

VALLEY SPRINGS 63, STAR CITY 40

Keyton Carnahan had 24 points to lead Valley Springs to a victory over Star City during Saturday’s action in the Bad Boy Mowers Cardinal Classic at Farmington.

Carnahan hit a trio of three-pointers in the first quarter and helped the Tigers (16-3) build a 15-6 lead. Valley Springs then went on a 13-3 run for a 28-9 halftime cushion and led 45-19 after three quarters.

Nate Helams added 12 points and Logan Avery 10 for Valley Springs.
