DENTON, Texas — Our dear brother, Jeff Payne,

-

62, took his last breath on earth and his first in his Heavenly home on the morning of Thursday, January 25, in Denton, Texas. Jeff was born on December 13, 1961, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to the late Clarence and Jan Payne. He spent his younger years in Springdale, Ark., and graduated from Springdale High School in 1980. Jeff lived in many different cities in the U.S. throughout his life, but most recently called Denton, Texas home.

Jeff worked in the music industry for many years and had his own import record store in the 90’s in Dallas. He worked as a talented landscape designer for the last 20+ years and created beautiful gardens and landscapes for his clients.

Music was one of Jeff’s first loves starting when he was young. He knew everything about his all-time favorite artist, ABBA, among many others and loved to share this knowledge with others. Jeff was also gifted at painting, had a wonderful eye for design and enjoyed refurbishing furniture. He had many aquariums over the years, loved flowers, plants, and anything with lots of bright colors. One of the things he most loved to do was walk in his backyard garden every morning before work with his two sweet pups, BoBo and Babygirl. He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his brother, Randall Payne (Mary); Karla Payne, Tammy Wear (Gary), Tommy Payne, Jon Payne (Kristin), and Missy Hagy (Paul); and had many nieces and nephews.

At Jeff ’s request, there will be no funeral or memorial service and his ashes will be spread in a beautiful place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, Jeff’s family respectfully requests donations, in Jeff’s memory, are made to your local animal shelter/rescue or the WWF (World Wildlife Fund) at: https://protect.worldwildlife.org.
