Nixon Resignation Reconsidered

DESCRIPTION: On the 50th anniversary of the resignation of President Richard M. Nixon, take a dive into why much of the nation may have been mistaken about what took place. The events, beginning with the break-in of the Democratic National Committee at the Watergate complex may seem familiar, but much of what is known could be wrong. Guided by the scholarship of Jim Hougan and other researchers, discover what happened during the time leading up to the so-called “burglary” and the events that followed, climaxing with Nixon’s flight from the White House. Seasoned instructor, filmmaker, and published author, John Powers, will bring to class participants an abundance of historical information and images to discuss.
