FARMINGTON — Robert (Bob) Edwin Lee,

age 79, of Farmington, Ark., passed away peacefully on April 8, 2024, at Willard Walker Hospice Home in Fayettevil­le, Ark.

He was born September 10, 1944, in Deming, N.M., to Eugene and Wilma Standridge Lee. Bob lived in Clarksvill­e until moving to Fayettevil­le, Ark., and graduated from University High School in 1962. On September 10, 2000, after 37 years, he retired as a Senior Lineman from Swepco AEP Constructi­on Department. Bob was a charter member of Local 386 (North) of the Internatio­nal Brotherhoo­d of Electrical Workers (IBEW).

In 1996, after 35 years, he retired as a colonel from the Arkansas Army National Guard 142 FA BDE, a former commander 2/142 FA BN. Bob was past commander of the American Legion Post 27, Shelton Tucker Craft, in Fayettevil­le.

Bob was an avid Harley rider and loved to go on road trips with friends, or just around the area. He loved his country, his friends, and his family. Bob was a kind person, soft spoken and laid back. He had integrity and character. Bob never met a stranger and would take the time to talk to anyone who wanted to talk. He will be missed.

Bob is survived by his wife of 23 years, Lauren; daughter, Brenda Bryant of Springdale, Ark.; son, Randy Lee of Ozark, Ark.; and sister, Cheri Kimbrough of Fayettevil­le.

Gravesides services will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, April 15, 2024, at Fayettevil­le National Cemetery. Bob was a nofrills kind of guy – he would welcome you to wear jeans and t-shirts, and ride your motorcycle­s to his funeral. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Associatio­n.
