Of Note: East Lincoln’s defense is giving up 54.2 ppg and they have held opponents to 50 points or less 8 times during the season. The Mustangs have a 3-game winning streak versus the Indians.

The Mustangs led 33-20 at halftime and continued to play well in the second half as they defeated the Indians by a score of 63-49 in the Western Foothills 3A Conference game played Tuesday night in Hickory.

East Lincoln had four players in double figures, led by sophomore, Davis Hill, who had 15 points and made 5 3-pointers on the night. Senior, Mason Simmons, added a doubledoub­le with 14 points and 12 rebounds, followed by senior, Keandre Walker, who had 12 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 steals, while sophomore, Jackson Fannon, added 10 points.

The Mustangs will be host the North Iredell Red Raiders on Friday, while the Indians will be on the road against the Statesvill­e Greyhounds.
