MAIDEN 16, ST. STEPHENS 4

St. Stephens watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in a 16-4 loss to the Lady Blue Devils on Tuesday.

Maiden scored on a triple by Averie Waddell, a groundout by Tristan

Smalling and a single by Maddie Clontz in the first inning.

Raegan Rembert took the win on the mound for Maiden. The pitcher allowed one hit and one run over three innings, striking out five and walking one.

Smalling started for the Lady Blue Devils. The bulldog went three innings, allowing three runs on four hits, striking out two and walking zero.

Anicka McFarland took the loss for the Lady Indians. The righty allowed eight hits and 14 earned runs over five and a third innings, striking out eight.

Anicka McFarland, Bryland McFarland, Alexa Woodard, Allie Gillmore and Kaela Briggs each managed one hit to lead St. Stephens.

Maiden had eight hits in the game. Macy Michael and Waddell maanged multiple hits.

Michael led with three hits in four at-bats including a home run and six RBI. Waddell hit a double and the aforementi­oned triple in the win.
