Bunker Hill High School Announces Jason Stuebe as New Women’s Basketball Coach

Bunker Hill High School is thrilled to announce the appointmen­t of Jason Stuebe as the new Head Women’s Basketball Coach. With an impressive coaching background and a track record of success, Stuebe brings a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to the Bunker Hill Bears.

Stuebe, a seasoned coach, spent the last six years at Jacobs Fork Middle School, where he served as the Head Girls Basketball Coach for the past four years. His coaching prowess was on full display last season when he led the Lady Jaguars to victory in the 42nd Kermit Whisnant Memorial Basketball Championsh­ip. The team’s remarkable journey culminated in a thrilling championsh­ip game where they emerged victorious against the previously undefeated Northview Hawks.

In addition to his coaching responsibi­lities, Stuebe has been an integral part of the Lenoir-Rhyne Athletic Communicat­ions Staff for the past five years. He has played a crucial role in handling statistics for various sports and has been actively involved in the broadcasti­ng efforts on the Bears network.

Expressing his gratitude and excitement for the new opportunit­y, Coach Stuebe stated,“First off, I want to thank Coach Wright and JFMS admin for a great six years, and I am grateful to Coach Sullivan and Dr. Clarke for this opportunit­y to lead the Girls Basketball Program here at Bunker Hill. I am beyond excited to start this season with our great coaching staff and these amazing studentath­letes.”
