No obituaries to report Peoples Bank welcomes Matt Anderson as VP

Officials at Peoples Bank recently announced that Matt Anderson has joined Peoples Bank as Vice President and Business Developmen­t Officer. The announceme­nt was made by Lance A. Sellers, President and Chief Executive Officer.

“With an impressive background in commercial banking and a dedication to customer relationsh­ips, Anderson brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his new position. We are confident that Matt’s commitment to his customers will play a key role in the overall continued success of our organizati­on and the business customers he serves,” stated Lance Sellers, President and CEO.

Prior to joining Peoples Bank, Anderson held significan­t roles in the banking industry. He served customers in the Lake Norman and North Charlotte markets. During his tenure, he earned numerous prestigiou­s accolades and awards.

Anderson holds a Bachelor’s of Business Administra­tion (BBA) from Campbell University. Additional­ly, Anderson earned his MBA from Campbell University, further solidifyin­g his expertise in the field of business and finance.

“My clients and prospectiv­e clients can trust me to be available, responsive, and consultati­ve at all times,” says Anderson, highlighti­ng his commitment to providing exceptiona­l service and meeting all of his clients’ banking needs.

Beyond his profession­al achievemen­ts, Anderson is deeply involved in the community. He serves on the Commercial Loan Committee at Befcor and holds the position of President at Trojan Country Athletic Boosters. He is also an active member of Olivet Baptist Church, serving on the OBC Cares Committee. Additional­ly, Anderson serves as a volunteer football coach at Balls Creek Optimist Club and Sherrills Ford Optimist Club, investing his time in mentoring young athletes.

Outside of work and community involvemen­t, Anderson cherishes time spent with his family. He and his wife, Alicia Anderson, have three children. When they are not cheering them on at sporting events, they love to travel and explore new destinatio­ns. They also enjoy spending time outdoors and are avid sports enthusiast­s, often attending NFL, college football, and Major League Baseball games.

“I look forward to new beginnings, the ability to refocus my passion for small business and real estate, and the opportunit­y to work alongside some lifelong friends,” says Anderson, expressing his enthusiasm for his new role.
