“As a first generation college student I want to make my family proud especially my Papi! Coming from Costa Rica from a very poor family he came here had me and gave me everything he could not or did not have. I just want to make him proud and become successful! This is what American opportunity is about, this is an example of what hard work is about and I’m going to make sure I take advantage of it! Like my pa , I’ve worked for it and I’m going to live it up and get my education and give it my all each and every time I’m on the basketball court!”
