Barton’s Allison Gambill earns 2023 All-Conference Carolinas Women’s Volleyball honors

GREENVILLE, S.C. – Barton College’s Allison Gambill has been named to the 2023 All-Conference Carolinas Women’s Volleyball Second Team, league officials announced earlier on Nov. 16.

Gambill, a senior outside hitter from Hickory N.C., earns all-league honors for a record fifth time in her collegiate career.

This season, Gambill led the squad with 358 kills and ranked second in digs (349) to go along with 31 blocks, 29 service aces and 28 assists. Gambill also had 17 doubledoub­les this fall.

Gambill, the 2019 Conference Carolinas Freshman of the Year, finished her Bulldogs’ career ranked fourth in kills (1,443) and sixth in digs (1,245) on the school’s all-time list.

Barton finished the year with a 10-18 overall mark – 5-12 in league play – and advanced to the 2023 Conference Carolinas Championsh­ip.
