Maiden Awarded First Place For Branding Project

-

On May 4th, 2023, the Town of Maiden was awarded first place at the 2023 NC3C Excellence in Communications Awards. The NC3C Excellence in Communications Awards recognize great local government communicators, and foster achievement among members, by showcasing top-level work. Maiden was awarded in the Branding/Logo category. This category recognizes a logo or graphic used to identify or promote a governing body, department, program, or event. This will be Maiden’s first time receiving this award.

In December 2022, the Town of Maiden rebranded with a new logo, tagline, colors, and more. Months leading up to the rebrand Maiden worked closely with Haven Creative, a third-party branding agency to complete the project. Since the rebrand, Maiden has periodically updated town signs, cars, stationery, and uniforms to match the new branding. The branding initiative has received an overall positive response from citizens, employees, elected officials, and many other towns across Catawba County.

The primary Maiden logo uses a font drawn specifically for the town and is meant to represent the three pillars that Maiden was founded on: fellowship, entrepreneurship, and sportsmanship. The tagline, “Living Made Easy,” celebrates the relaxed nature and high quality of life in Maiden.

“We are honored to receive this award and feel our new branding provides the opportunity to showcase who we are and what makes us unique. Maiden is a truly special town, and this branding initiative has allowed us to promote the place we are proud to call home,” said Mayor, Max Bumgarner Jr.
