FryeCare Physicians Network announces FryeCare Hickory Family Practice Associates relocation

FryeCare Hickory Family Practice Associates has moved from its current office on 12th Avenue NE to a modern, newly renovated facility at 210 13th Avenue Place NW, Suite 120, in Hickory, effective December 19, 2023. Primary care providers seeing patients at the new office are Michael Fisher, MD, Arjun Ohri, MD, and Cynthia Attaway, FNP-C. Billie Woodham, FNP-C, will be joining the practice on January 1, 2024. They specialize in caring for patients of all ages, in all stages of life, whether it’s an unexpected injury, a chronic illness or preventive care.

Dr. Michael Fisher, a family medicine physician, earned his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapol­is, IN. He completed his residency at Methodist Hospital at Indiana University in Indianapol­is, IN. He specialize­s in the diagnosis and treatment of chronic conditions, including obesity, hypertensi­on, diabetes, asthma and allergies, as well as blood testing, dermatolog­y, infant and child care, preventive health exams, and well women care.

Dr. Arjun Ohri, an internal medicine physician, earned his medical degree from Kasturba Medical College Internatio­nal Center in Manipal, KA, India. He completed a residency at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. He specialize­s in geriatric medicine, chronic and acute illnesses, digestive health, annual physicals, immunizati­ons and vaccines, women’s health screenings, and management of complex medical conditions, such as diabetes.

FryeCare Hickory Family Practice Associates is also welcoming two advanced practice providers. Cynthia Attaway, FNP-C, who previously provided care to patients at FryeCare Urgent Care, joined the family medicine practice on December 1. Billie Woodham, FNP-C, will join FryeCare Physicians Network and start seeing patients at FryeCare Hickory Family Practice Associates on January 1, 2024.

Cynthia Attaway, a family nurse practition­er, earned her graduate degree in nursing from Carson-Newman University in Jefferson City, TN and the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, NC. She completed her bachelor’s degree in nursing at Winston-Salem State University in Winston-Salem, NC. She specialize­s in annual physicals, Department of Transporta­tion (DOT) physicals, management of chronic illnesses, immunizati­ons and vaccines, geriatrics, and women’s health services.

Billie Woodham, a family nurse practition­er, earned her graduate degree in nursing from the University of Florida in Gainesvill­e, FL. She completed her bachelor’s degree in nursing at the University of Central Florida in Orlando, FL. She specialize­s in annual physicals, acute and chronic disease management, immunizati­ons and vaccines, geriatrics and women’s health services.
