The Corner Table is accepting nominations
The Corner Table in Newton is accepting nominations for The Baker’s Dozen Women Society and The JR Baker’s Dozen Young Women’s Society. The Baker’s Dozen was launched in 2018 and have raised over $300,000 to feed men, women, and children in the community. In 2021, The JR Baker’s Dozen Society was launched as a “spinoff” to help young women make the same difference. They have raised $108,000.
These are Corner Table fundraising societies showcasing the community’s most dynamic and inspiring females.
Summer Jenkins, executive director of The Corner Table, says the society chooses women who “believe in making a difference.”
By becoming members, they are empowered to act on that belief in a fulfilling and measurable way each year.
“Nominees will help make a lasting impact by raising funds and awareness over the course of a nine month campaign,” Jenkins said.
At the end of 2024, in December, the honorees of both societies will honored by a dinner and awards presentation to recognize achievements. Also, the Commitment to Serve award winner will be announced along with The Baker’s Dozen and JR Baker’s Dozen “Baker of the
