LR Announces Baseball & Softball Gameday Enhancements
It is officially baseball and softball season in Hickory! The Bears will take the diamond in both sports this week; baseball will hit the road at Flagler for a weekend series starting on Friday, Feb. 2, while softball opens with a doubleheader at home on Saturday, Feb. 3 at 2 p.m. against Lander.
For the 2024 season, admission to all LR Baseball and Softball games will be $5 while children aged 12 and under will receive free admission when accompanied by an adult guest. As always, Lenoir-Rhyne faculty, staff and students have free admission to every home baseball and softball event. Select members of the Bears Club, Dugout Club and Bullpen Club will receive complimentary season tickets for their continued support of LR Athletics. This spring, we are excited to provide in-game entertainment and enhanced postgame activities that will take place during baseball and softball gamedays. Durham Field and Bears Field will be the home of several promotions and giveaways scheduled throughout the season!
Be on the lookout for official Dingers Club Shirts being distributed after each Bears home run, take note of the opposing team’s strikeout player of the game for a chance at free tickets to future LR events, and enjoy several local food trucks at the ballpark throughout the spring seasons! Take advantage of Signature Saturdays at both sports, kids run the bases at baseball (Saturdays and softball (Sundays), weekday bingo at softball, and so much more!
